Popuko, the smaller and significantly more temperamental half of the iconic duo from "Pop Team Epic," was conceived by creator bkub Okawa as the embodiment of pure chaos energy. This 7 cm tall Bearbrick perfectly captures the characteristic appearance of the 14-year-old schoolgirl: her blonde hairstyle tied in two prominent pigtails, her typical sailor uniform outfit with a blue collar and red bow, her blue pleated skirt shorts, and her brown shoes. However, her large, expressive eyes with their innocent gaze belie Popuko's explosive temperament.

Since 2014, "Pop Team Epic" has delighted viewers as a yonkoma webcomic on Takeshobo's Manga Life Win platform with its unique blend of surrealism, pop culture parodies, and meta-humor. The series quickly developed into a cult phenomenon, attracting international attention as an anime adaptation in 2018 – not least due to the innovative concept of showing each episode twice: once with female and once with male voice actors for the main characters. Popuko represents the unpredictable, hot-tempered part of the duo, who explodes over trivial things and often takes out her anger with a baseball bat, but at the same time maintains a deep, complex friendship with her partner, Pipimi.

The Bearbrick version honors bkub Okawa's minimalist yet expressive drawing style. Signature details like the yellow-orange braids, the classic seifuku design, and the high-contrast color scheme make this figure instantly recognizable. For you as a collector, this Bearbrick represents more than just an anime figure—it's a piece of contemporary internet culture and absurd comedy that defies convention and has shaped an entire generation of manga and anime fans with its anarchic humor. An absolute must-have for lovers of unconventional Japanese pop culture.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0843/3133/1850/files/bearbrick-series-33-artist-popuko-pop-team-epic-100-herstellerbild.webp?v=1760278477
