This 7 cm Bearbrick from the Hero category perfectly captures the iconic appearance of protagonist Agetaro Katsumata: his characteristic broad smile, his green cap with a red rim, his white restaurant outfit with the words "しぶやう" (Shibuya), and his distinctive red shoes. It is this combination of down-to-earth restaurant tradition and urban lifestyle that makes this character so appealing.

Launched in 2014, the manga series by yipiao and Yūjirō Koyama tells the inspiring story of a third-generation heir to a tonkatsu restaurant who discovers the fascinating world of DJing while delivering to a nightclub. Agetaro's central insight is as simple as it is ingenious: The rhythmic precision of frying perfect pork schnitzels bears a striking resemblance to the timing and groove of a DJ who whips a crowd into a frenzy. This creative parallel between culinary craftsmanship and electronic music culture makes the series a unique phenomenon, adapted into an anime series in 2016 and even a live-action film in 2020.

Medicom Toy placed particular emphasis on authenticity in this Bearbrick: The friendly, naive face with its big eyes and broad grin reflects Agetaro's optimistic, sometimes somewhat naive character. The combination of a white top and dark blue pants represents his work in his parents' restaurant, while the green cap symbolizes his youthful, fashion-conscious demeanor in Shibuya. For you as a collector, this Bearbrick represents a piece of contemporary Japanese pop culture that humorously combines tradition and modernity, craftsmanship and creativity.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0843/3133/1850/files/bearbrick-series-33-hero-tonkatsu-dj-age-taro-100-herstellerbild.webp?v=1760278326
