Kimetsu no Yaiba – better known in the West as Demon Slayer – is one of the most successful manga and anime phenomena of recent times. The story created by Koyoharu Gotouge about Tanjiro Kamado, who becomes a demon slayer to save his sister Nezuko, who has been turned into a demon, has thrilled millions worldwide. Medicom Toy is now translating this epic narrative into collector's art: The BE@RBRICK Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (100%+400%) brings the intensity of the original manga pages directly to the iconic bear figure, combining Japanese pop culture with Medicom Toy's cult design.
What makes this model special is its full-body print, which is composed of real manga panels. Scenes with Tanjiro, Nezuko, and other characters are arranged in a collage-like fashion across the head, torso, arms, and legs, complete with Japanese speech bubbles and text lines. The color scheme is not classic black and white, but rather a striking duotone aesthetic of deep green and warm reddish-brown, giving the whole an independent, artistic character. On the back, the character 滅 ("metsu," for "destroy" or "Demon Slayer Corps") stands out in powerful white – a strong graphic statement amidst the dense panel collage.
