Series 14 Animal "Ronnie Cutrone Tiger" in detail.

Bearbrick Series 14 Animal "Ronnie Cutrone Tiger" 100% Begleitkarte
With the original Medicom Toy card

Ronnie Cutrone is one of the defining figures of New York Pop Art: as Andy Warhol's long-time assistant at the legendary Factory, he experienced the art scene of the 1970s up close and later developed a distinctive style all his own. His paintings take classic cartoon characters out of the world of childhood and place them in an artistic context, somewhere between nostalgia, irony and vibrant joie de vivre. It is precisely this signature style that he brings to the Bearbrick body here, transforming it into a big cat that could have leapt straight out of an old animated film.

The body glows in a bold coral red and is covered all over with sweeping black tiger stripes that bring the arms, legs and back to life. The white face shows the typical Cutrone cartoon look: large oval eyes with raised brows, a thick black nose and a broad grin with two cheeky fangs and a small red tongue. A drawn lock of hair curls on top of the head, and the ears have white inner surfaces. Particularly striking is the black harness across the chest, decorated with white lightning bolt symbols and a round monogram emblem on the white bib, reminiscent of a superhero costume. White paws on the feet round off the playful look.

The model was released in 2007 as a single figure in 100% format, standing around 7 cm tall, as part of Series 14, where it is assigned to the Animal theme. It thus brings together two collecting worlds: the classic Bearbrick series from the blind box era and the work of an artist closely intertwined with the history of Pop Art. Older models from the early series in particular are no longer easy to find today and fill important gaps for many collectors.

Whether as an addition to your Series 14 collection, as a small homage to the Factory era or as a colourful eye-catcher on your shelf: this Bearbrick brings good cheer and art history together in the smallest of spaces. It is also an original choice as a gift for Pop Art fans and lovers of classic cartoons.
