This exceptional Series 38 Artist Bearbrick honors one of Japan's greatest wrestling legends and the current president of New Japan Pro Wrestling. Hiroshi Tanahashi, affectionately known as "The Ace" and "100% Ace," has shaped the wrestling world for over two decades, leading NJPW to international recognition. With his signature long hair and muscular physique, this Bearbrick perfectly embodies the charm and charisma of the wrestling superstar.

The detailed design authentically captures Tanahashi's iconic appearance—from his striking facial features to the colorful wrestling gear that reflects his spectacular in-ring performances. The skin-colored torso showcases the athletic physique of a wrestler at his peak, while the colorful wrestling boots and gear details represent the vibrant aesthetic of NJPW.

Tanahashi's career reads like a wrestling fairytale: an eight-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion and record holder, a two-time G1 Climax winner, and a Wrestling Observer Hall of Fame member since 2013. As a franchise player, he led NJPW from a deep crisis to worldwide recognition over a decade, transforming the promotion into the second-largest wrestling company in the world. His ten main event matches in the Tokyo Dome are a record that underscores his unparalleled importance to the Japanese wrestling scene.

The "1/100" marking indicates the limited nature of this special artist edition, licensed by New Japan Pro Wrestling Co. Ltd. For wrestling fans, this Bearbrick is more than just a collectible—it represents the spirit of modern Japanese wrestling and the unwavering dedication of a man who dedicated his life to the sport.

In 2013, Dave Meltzer praised Tanahashi as possibly "the finest in-ring performer working today," and this Bearbrick captures that excellence perfectly. Serving as NJPW President since December 2023, Tanahashi remains an inspiring figure who perfectly blends tradition and innovation. This Bearbrick is a tribute to a living legend and a must-have for anyone who appreciates the art of professional wrestling.

Is this Bearbrick already pre-assembled?

Yes, all Bearbricks available at MyBearBrick.de are delivered fully assembled by the manufacturer Medicom Toy and are ready to display. So there’s no risk of damaging the model.

What packaging does this Bearbrick come in?

This Bearbrick comes in the official original Medicom Toy packaging (see specifications). This is often a collector’s item in its own right and important for preserving the model’s value. We take care to ensure secure packaging for shipping to prevent damage during transport.

What material is this Bearbrick made of and how do I best care for it?

Most Bearbricks are made of high-quality plastic (ABS plastic), unless otherwise stated in the specifications. For maintenance, we recommend gently dusting the figure regularly with a soft, dry cloth. On chrome versions, fingerprints should be avoided; cloth gloves may be helpful here. Direct sunlight and high humidity should be avoided to protect the colours and material over time.

How does the quality and mobility of this model differ from other sizes?

Medicom Toy’s production quality is very high across all sizes. Larger models (400% or 1000%) often offer more space for detailed designs. However, the joints vary depending on the size: In larger models (400% and 1000%), the arms and legs usually rotate in a single plane. Smaller Bearbricks (especially 100% and 200%) often have ball joints, allowing for more flexible movement of the limbs.
