Product description

Astro Boy, known in the Japanese original as Tetsuwan Atom, is one of the most influential figures in the entire history of manga and anime. He was created in 1952 by the legendary Osamu Tezuka, often referred to as the father of modern manga. The story of the little robot boy, endowed with human emotions and superhuman powers, has captivated generations of fans worldwide for over seven decades. With this 400% Bearbrick, Medicom Toy brings one of the most significant icons of Japanese pop culture into the world of designer toys, creating a bridge between classic manga art and contemporary collectibles.

The design of this Bearbrick captures Astro Boy's distinctive appearance with loving attention to detail. The head features the characteristic black hair with the striking twin peaks, as well as the friendly smiling face with large, expressive eyes that reflect Tezuka's unmistakable drawing style. Particularly striking are the transparent ears, which recall Astro Boy's ability to perceive even the faintest sounds with his super hearing. The body is in a warm skin tone and wears the iconic green belt with white side accents that runs horizontally around the torso. The black trousers and bright red boots complete the classic look that fans will immediately recognize. The back displays the © Tezuka Productions lettering, underscoring its official licensing.

With a height of approximately 28 cm, the 400% version offers an impressive presence that stands out perfectly as a centerpiece in any display case or on a shelf. For collectors who appreciate both the world of Bearbricks and anime classics, this model is an absolute treasure. Astro Boy is one of the timeless motifs that hold a special place in the Bearbrick universe, as Tezuka's legacy has shaped the entire Japanese creative scene far beyond manga.

Whether you are a long-time fan of Osamu Tezuka's work, wish to expand your designer toy collection with a culturally significant piece, or are looking for an exceptional gift for an anime enthusiast – this Bearbrick combines nostalgic charm with modern collector's value. Secure this piece of Japanese pop culture history now before it's gone.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Is this Bearbrick already pre-assembled?

Yes, all Bearbricks available at MyBearBrick.de are delivered fully assembled by the manufacturer Medicom Toy and are ready to display. So there's no risk of damaging the model.

What packaging does this Bearbrick come in?

This Bearbrick comes in the official original Medicom Toy packaging (see specifications). This is often a collector's item in its own right and important for preserving the model's value. We take care to ensure secure packaging for shipping to prevent damage during transport.

What material is this Bearbrick made of and how do I best care for it?

Most Bearbricks are made of high-quality plastic (ABS plastic), unless otherwise stated in the specifications. For maintenance, we recommend gently dusting the figure regularly with a soft, dry cloth. On chrome versions, fingerprints should be avoided; cloth gloves may be helpful here. Direct sunlight and high humidity should be avoided to protect the colors and material over time and ensure long-term value retention.

How quickly will my order be shipped and how long will delivery take?

Orders received by 2:00 PM on weekdays (11:00 AM on Saturdays) will be shipped the same day via DHL. Delivery within Germany typically takes 1 to 2 business days. Deliveries to other EU countries or Switzerland typically take 2 to 4 business days. You will always receive a tracking number so you can check the status of your delivery at any time.

How much are the shipping costs for this Bearbrick?

We offer free shipping within the European Union for orders over €75. For orders below this amount, we charge a flat shipping fee of €4.90 for deliveries within Germany and €7.90 for other EU countries. For customers in Switzerland or UK, the shipping fee is CHF 10.00 or GBP 10.00 respectively, with a minimum order value of CHF 75 or GBP 75. We cover all customs duties and import taxes for you.

What payment options do I have?

At MyBearBrick.de you can pay securely and conveniently using various payment methods, including PayPal, Klarna (purchase on account), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and credit cards (VISA, Mastercard, American Express).

What happens if I don't like the Bearbrick or it arrives damaged?

Your satisfaction is important to us. If, contrary to expectations, you don't like a Bearbrick or it's damaged, you have a 30-day free return policy. Simply contact us by phone, email, or chat, and we'll send you a prepaid DHL return label. Once we receive your return, we'll, of course, refund the full purchase price, including any shipping costs.

Will I receive a certificate of authenticity for this Bearbrick?

For all Bearbricks 200% and larger (including 100%+400% sets), we at Zaiser Art Gallery issue an additional Certificate of Authenticity for your records. This underscores our commitment and conviction to offering only genuine Medicom Toy products.

How does the quality and mobility of this model differ from other sizes?

Medicom Toy's production quality is very high across all sizes. Larger models (400% or 1000%) often offer more space for detailed designs. However, the joints vary depending on the size: In larger models (400% and 1000%), the arms and legs usually rotate in a single plane. Smaller Bearbricks (especially 100% and 200%) often have ball joints, allowing for more flexible movement of the limbs.
