Product description

Behind the name Pushead is the US artist Brian Schroeder – a cult figure at the intersection of hardcore punk, heavy metal, and the skateboard scene. Originally the singer of the band Septic Death, he made a name for himself from the early 1980s with extremely detailed, morbid ink drawings: craggy skulls and skeletons, finely cross-hatched and darkly atmospheric. His imagery shaped the visual identity of Metallica – from the notorious "Damage, Inc." skull to the cover of "St. Anger" – as well as artworks for the Misfits, Thrasher magazine, and the legendary Zorlac skateboards. He has a long series of coveted vinyl collaborations with Medicom Toy.

For the BE@RBRICK Series 43, Pushead transfers his unmistakable style to the bear silhouette – as an all-over printed variant: a dense, organic network of his typical line work extends over the head, ears, body, and limbs, rendered in a toxic-glowing green with amber and orange accents and deep black shadow zones. The glossy surface makes the pattern appear almost like a proliferating, viscous mass – at first glance almost like foliage or water, but on closer inspection, recognizable as gnarled bone and skull work. This Bearbrick thus deliberately distinguishes itself from the clean graphics of many series figures and brings raw, almost uncanny depth to the small format.

Released in January 2022, the figure belongs to Series 43, with which Medicom Toy celebrated two anniversaries at once – 20 years of Bearbrick and 25 years of Medicom Toy. In the 100% size of approximately 7 cm, the Pushead is one of the hardest motifs to pull from the blind box series, making it a true chase piece for both hunters and collectors. For you, getting it is doubly rewarding: you not only get one of the rare surprise figures from the series, but also an object that bundles music history, skate culture, and dark art into a single figure. Anyone looking for Bearbricks beyond pretty licensed motifs and who appreciates Pushead's world of Metallica artwork and underground aesthetics will find a real statement piece for their shelf here.

Is this Bearbrick already pre-assembled?

Yes, all Bearbricks available at MyBearBrick.de are delivered fully assembled by the manufacturer Medicom Toy and are ready to display. So there's no risk of damaging the model.

What packaging does this Bearbrick come in?

This Bearbrick comes in the official original Medicom Toy packaging (see specifications). This is often a collector's item in its own right and important for preserving the model's value. We take care to ensure secure packaging for shipping to prevent damage during transport.

What material is this Bearbrick made of and how do I best care for it?

Most Bearbricks are made of high-quality plastic (ABS plastic), unless otherwise stated in the specifications. For maintenance, we recommend gently dusting the figure regularly with a soft, dry cloth. On chrome versions, fingerprints should be avoided; cloth gloves may be helpful here. Direct sunlight and high humidity should be avoided to protect the colors and material over time and ensure long-term value retention.

How quickly will my order be shipped and how long will delivery take?

Orders received by 2:00 PM on weekdays (11:00 AM on Saturdays) will be shipped the same day via DHL. Delivery within Germany typically takes 1 to 2 business days, to other EU countries 2 to 4 business days, and to the United Kingdom 3 to 5 business days. You will always receive a tracking number so you can check the status of your delivery at any time.

How much are the shipping costs for this Bearbrick?

What happens if I don't like the Bearbrick or it arrives damaged?

Your satisfaction is important to us. If, contrary to expectations, you don't like a Bearbrick or it's damaged, you have a 30-day free return policy. Simply contact us by phone, email, or chat, and we'll send you a prepaid DHL return label. Will I receive a certificate of authenticity for this Bearbrick?

For all Bearbricks 200% and larger (including 100%+400% sets), we at Zaiser Art Gallery issue an additional Certificate of Authenticity for your records. This underscores our commitment and conviction to offering only genuine Medicom Toy products.

How does the quality and mobility of this model differ from other sizes?

Medicom Toy's production quality is very high across all sizes. Larger models (400% or 1000%) often offer more space for detailed designs. However, the joints vary depending on the size: In larger models (400% and 1000%), the arms and legs usually rotate in a single plane. Smaller Bearbricks (especially 100% and 200%) often have ball joints, allowing for more flexible movement of the limbs.
