Product details

Product description

The British Museum in London is one of the most important cultural institutions in the world, and its collaboration with Medicom Toy translates masterpieces from its collection into collectible art for display. This model pays tribute to one of the museum's most famous exhibits: the Gayer-Anderson Cat, an ancient Egyptian bronze figure that embodies the goddess Bastet. This union of millennia-old art and modern vinyl culture creates a collector's piece that brings history and design together in an unusual way.

A Random Pattern runs across the entire figure, showing photorealistic images of the elegant cat sculpture. The seated bronze cat with its dignified posture appears several times and in varying orientations on the head, body, arms and legs, so that every perspective reveals new details. Fine greenish patina and stone tones stand out against the dark, muted background, while the consistently matte finish of the surface lends a museum-like, understated feel that emphasises the sculptural character of the original.

The set comes as a mixed-size combination, pairing the compact 100% format at 7 cm tall with the imposing 400% figure at around 28 cm tall. Both carry the same artwork, with the large Bearbrick showing off the pattern to particularly striking effect and the small version serving as a fitting companion. As part of the British Museum series from 2022, this model is aimed at collectors who value art-historical motifs and the aesthetics of the Bearbrick in equal measure.

Whether as an eye-catcher on the shelf, a talking point for art-loving visitors or a thoughtful gift for lovers of Egyptian culture and design objects – this set combines sophistication and expression. If you're looking for a figure with a genuine cultural background, you're choosing a piece that tells far more than just its shape.

Is this Bearbrick already pre-assembled?

Yes, all Bearbricks available at MyBearBrick.de are delivered fully assembled by the manufacturer Medicom Toy and are ready to display. So there's no risk of damaging the model.

What packaging does this Bearbrick come in?

This Bearbrick comes in the official original Medicom Toy packaging (see specifications). This is often a collector's item in its own right and important for preserving the model's value. We take care to ensure secure packaging for shipping to prevent damage during transport.

What material is this Bearbrick made of and how do I best care for it?

Most Bearbricks are made of high-quality plastic (ABS plastic), unless otherwise stated in the specifications. For maintenance, we recommend gently dusting the figure regularly with a soft, dry cloth. On chrome versions, fingerprints should be avoided; cloth gloves may be helpful here. Direct sunlight and high humidity should be avoided to protect the colors and material over time and ensure long-term value retention.

How quickly will my order be shipped and how long will delivery take?

Orders received by 2:00 pm on working days (Saturday by 11:00 am) ship the same day – within Germany with Deutsche Post DHL, abroad with DHL or UPS. Delivery within Germany usually takes 1 to 2 working days; with UPS Express Saver, delivery is on the next working day. Deliveries to other EU countries, Sweden, the United Kingdom or Switzerland usually take 3 to 5 working days. You always receive a tracking number so you can check the status of your delivery at any time.

For orders to Switzerland we charge a flat shipping rate of CHF 10.00; the minimum order value is CHF 75.00, and here too we cover all customs duties and import fees for you.

What payment options do I have?

At MyBearBrick.de you can pay securely and conveniently using various payment methods, including PayPal, Klarna (purchase on account), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and credit cards (VISA, Mastercard, American Express).

What happens if I don't like the Bearbrick or it arrives damaged?

Your satisfaction is important to us. If, contrary to expectations, you don't like a Bearbrick or it's damaged, you have a 30-day free return policy. Simply contact us by phone, email, or chat, and we'll send you a prepaid DHL return label. Once we receive your return, we'll, of course, refund the full purchase price, including any shipping costs.

Will I receive a certificate of authenticity for this Bearbrick?

For all Bearbricks 200% and larger (including 100%+400% sets), we at Zaiser Art Gallery issue an additional Certificate of Authenticity for your records. This underscores our commitment and conviction to offering only genuine Medicom Toy products.

How does the quality and mobility of this model differ from other sizes?

Medicom Toy's production quality is very high across all sizes. Larger models (400% or 1000%) often offer more space for detailed designs. However, the joints vary depending on the size: In larger models (400% and 1000%), the arms and legs usually rotate in a single plane. Smaller Bearbricks (especially 100% and 200%) often have ball joints, allowing for more flexible movement of the limbs.
