Product description

X-girl is far more than just an ordinary streetwear brand. Founded in 1994 by Kim Gordon, bassist and singer of Sonic Youth, together with stylist Daisy von Furth, the label emerged as the female counterpart to the skater brand X-Large, which was backed by, among others, Mike D of the Beastie Boys. The iconic X-girl logo was designed by graphic designer and filmmaker Mike Mills, and the first fashion show was a legendary guerrilla action on the streets of Soho, directed by Sofia Coppola and Spike Jonze, featuring a young Chloë Sevigny as the model. In the nineties, X-girl defined a new form of feminine streetwear, translating punk, skate culture, and the DIY ethos into clothing that didn't infantilize girls but took them seriously. After being sold to the Japanese company B's International in 1998, the brand lives on, particularly in Tokyo's Harajuku scene, and remains an integral part of the Japanese streetwear landscape.

This Bearbrick set captures the spirit of the brand in an ethereally beautiful material language. The entire body of both figures, in 100% and 400% scale, is made of transparent, clear purple plastic with a shimmering Aurora finish that shifts in soft shades of blue, pink, and purple – creating a mesmerizing iridescent play of colors depending on the light. The signature X-girl logo is printed in white on the torso, while inside the transparent body, loose, pastel-colored building blocks in pink, green, and white are visible, trickling through the hollow torso like tiny candies. This playful mechanism makes each figure a small kinetic object that surprises with every movement.

If you appreciate 90s streetwear culture, the fusion of music and fashion, or simply exceptional material aesthetics, this set combines it all in one figure. The combination of a transparent finish, holographic shimmer, and playful interior clearly sets this Bearbrick apart from classic print or color designs – a true highlight for any display case.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Is this Bearbrick already pre-assembled?

Yes, all Bearbricks available at MyBearBrick.de are delivered fully assembled by the manufacturer Medicom Toy and are ready to display. So there's no risk of damaging the model.

What packaging does this Bearbrick come in?

This Bearbrick comes in the official original Medicom Toy packaging (see specifications). This is often a collector's item in its own right and important for preserving the model's value. We take care to ensure secure packaging for shipping to prevent damage during transport.

What material is this Bearbrick made of and how do I best care for it?

Most Bearbricks are made of high-quality plastic (ABS plastic), unless otherwise stated in the specifications. For maintenance, we recommend gently dusting the figure regularly with a soft, dry cloth. On chrome versions, fingerprints should be avoided; cloth gloves may be helpful here. Direct sunlight and high humidity should be avoided to protect the colors and material over time and ensure long-term value retention.

How quickly will my order be shipped and how long will delivery take?

Orders received by 2:00 PM on weekdays (11:00 AM on Saturdays) will be shipped the same day via DHL. Delivery within Germany typically takes 1 to 2 business days. Deliveries to other EU countries or Switzerland typically take 2 to 4 business days. You will always receive a tracking number so you can check the status of your delivery at any time.

How much are the shipping costs for this Bearbrick?

We offer free shipping within the European Union for orders over €75. For orders below this amount, we charge a flat shipping fee of €4.90 for deliveries within Germany and €7.90 for other EU countries. For customers in Switzerland or UK, the shipping fee is CHF 10.00 or GBP 10.00 respectively, with a minimum order value of CHF 75 or GBP 75. We cover all customs duties and import taxes for you.

What payment options do I have?

At MyBearBrick.de you can pay securely and conveniently using various payment methods, including PayPal, Klarna (purchase on account), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and credit cards (VISA, Mastercard, American Express).

What happens if I don't like the Bearbrick or it arrives damaged?

Your satisfaction is important to us. If, contrary to expectations, you don't like a Bearbrick or it's damaged, you have a 30-day free return policy. Simply contact us by phone, email, or chat, and we'll send you a prepaid DHL return label. Once we receive your return, we'll, of course, refund the full purchase price, including any shipping costs.

Will I receive a certificate of authenticity for this Bearbrick?

For all Bearbricks 200% and larger (including 100%+400% sets), we at Zaiser Art Gallery issue an additional Certificate of Authenticity for your records. This underscores our commitment and conviction to offering only genuine Medicom Toy products.

How does the quality and mobility of this model differ from other sizes?

Medicom Toy's production quality is very high across all sizes. Larger models (400% or 1000%) often offer more space for detailed designs. However, the joints vary depending on the size: In larger models (400% and 1000%), the arms and legs usually rotate in a single plane. Smaller Bearbricks (especially 100% and 200%) often have ball joints, allowing for more flexible movement of the limbs.
